Las Vegas Travel Guide: Best Places to Eat & Instagram-Worthy Photo Spots

My Favorite Spots to Eat in Las Vegas

I just took my second trip to Vegas and I think my favorite thing is the food. They have so many good places to eat. On this trip, we went to some of our favorite spots and tried a few new ones. I’m only going to share my top spots.

Breakfast:

BabyStacks Cafe: So many options and everything is so good! I did the Build Your Own Skillet with Bacon, Spinach, Onions, and Pepper Jack Cheese and did the Banana Foster Pancakes instead of the original.

Broken Yolk: We didn’t eat here this time, but I do remember everything being good. They seemed to have a good selection of healthier options too. It’s also pretty close to the strip.

Fast Food/Lunch:

Cafe Rio: This may be the spot I look forward to most. It’s similar to a Chipotle-style restaurant, but I’ve only seen them out west. I ate it for lunch every day that I was there this week…yes, it’s that good. I get the Salad with Cilantro Lime Rice, Black Beans, Sweet Pork Barbacoa, Shredded Lettuce, Pico, & Tortilla Strips with Creamy Tomatillo Dressing.

In-N-Out Burger: If you haven’t tried it, you definitely need to. I haven’t ever had anything bad there. The burgers, fries, and shakes are so good. We didn’t go this time, but I highly recommend trying it if you haven’t!

Dinner:

Buddy V’s: This is one of our favorites. The Garlic Cheesy Bread, Lasagna, & Linguine Shrimp Scampi are our favorites. It truly is one of the best Italian restaurants that I’ve had. The Bootlegger is another Italian spot in Las Vegas that people like. I haven’t personally tried it, but our friends that live there said that they think Buddy V’s is a little bit better. Buddy V’s is also right across from his Cake Shop!

Catch: This was our first time trying this one, but we were very impressed! Everything was so good. My favorites were the Crispy Shrimp, Filet Skewers, Crispy Brussels Sprouts, Parmesan Truffle Fries, & the Donut Wonder Wheel. Plus, the entryway is so cute and covered with flowers and lights!

Javier’s: This is another one of our favorites! The BEST chips & salsa…seriously. I have had a lot of chips & salsa in my lifetime, but I really do think they have the best. The food is good too, but it’s a must for me in Las Vegas solely because of the salsa! They also have great Tres Leches cake and Churros.

Beach Necessities

Beach Necessities

How many of us head off to the beach thinking we have over packed, only to find out we left the main necessity? I’m that person! How many times do I get there and think “Oh no,  I so should’ve brought that!” and it’s something so simple!

I’m sharing these beach necessities that I don’t go without!

1. Good Sunscreen

This is a no brainer, right? Invest in a good sunscreen. Many sunscreens will burn and irritate my face at the beach when I’m in the saltwater and sand. Who wants to deal with your eyes burning with irritation at the beach? Tula face sunscreen is the best I’ve used! I wear it every single day under my makeup. It doesn’t leave a white film and gives a very faint glow. It even shields from damaging blue light & pollution! Sun Bum sunscreen is my go-to for sunscreen on my body!

2. Insulated Water Bottle

I can’t go to the beach without my bottle! Having a bottle full of ice to keep my drinks cold all day is a game changer in hot weather. I use the CamelBak and it’s also leak proof!

3. Beach Chairs

If you’re heading off to the beach, beach chairs are a must! There’s nothing better than putting the chair at the edge of the water and letting the waves crash onto your feet. It is a must have for staying cool. You could also take a chance and rent a chair if available. I normally choose the thrifty route.

4. Sunglasses

Another no brainer, right? The sun is so bright I can feel my squint line carving a wrinkle between my eyes.  I wear polarized Ray-Ban Aviators or Ray-Ban Round Double Bridge sunglasses almost everyday. However, any sunglasses will help!

5. Waterproof Mascara

I don’t normally wear makeup during the day at the beach. However, if I decide to go out and grab breakfast or something in the morning then I like to put on a little mascara. This waterproof mascara is perfect for a day at the beach and is less than $10 on Amazon!

6. Beach Hat

I don’t always wear a hat at the beach, but there are days that I feel like I need to. I personally love wearing visors out on the beach because they aren’t as hot on my head. A beach hat is also great for evenings out when your hair just isn’t cooperating. Both of my favorites are from Target.

7. Lotion/Moisturizer

The saltwater and sun dries my skin out so much. A good lotion for your body and moisturizer for your face are essential. I love using the Sun Bum Cool Down lotion after a long day in the sun. The Tula Oil-Free Acne Moisturizer is the only moisturizer I’ve found that works on my skin. However, if you have dry-normal skin then I reccommend their 24-7 Moisture Hydrating Day & Night Cream!

8. Curl Cream

I don’t wear my hair naturally curly often. HOWEVER…My hair and hot/humid weather do NOT mix. I can fix my hair and walk outside and it instantly just frizzes up. When I am in the ocean and pool and get my hair wet, I have to wash it every evening. I don’t like putting so much heat on my hair every single day. SO, some days curl cream or gel it is!

9. Bluetooth Speaker

There’s nothing better than having a good country playlist playing while your sitting in your beach chair with your toes in the sand. A bluetooth speaker is a better alternative than trying to play the music from your phone.

10. Benedryl/Medication

Not just for the beach, but any trip…medicine is a must. You may never use it, but you never know when you’ll need it. You never know when you’ll break out from a lotion or anything. It’s always good to have benedryl or some kind of allergy medication on hand.
